Government says n-OAP to spending on old people
A new survey by old age specialists Saga, published in the Daily Mail, has found that Britain spends less than 16 out of the big 20 European countries on care for the elderly.
It means that as a percentage of national income, Italy and France spend double on retired people than Britain does. Director General of Saga, Ros Altmann, said: ‘It should shame us as a nation that other European countries seem to take the needs of their older population more seriously than we do.’
It seems Britain is absolutely OAPless, when it comes to looking after the elderly.
