Buying a new car? Get free insurance for 2011

If you're a fan of Volkswagen cars and are looking to save yourself some money this year, then you could combine the purchase of a brand new Volkswagen Polo with the company's current offer of free insurance for all new purchases registered before June 30th.

The new Polo carries on from where previous models left off, offering a pristine driving experience that includes electric front windows, central locking, height adjustable front seats, engine immobiliser, electronic stabilisation, four speaker CD player and much more, all as standard starting at just £9,495. On top of all that, you'll get up to three years' free servicing if you buy with the Solutions package, although it's not quite as straight forward as it sounds initially; it's actually 3 years or 30,000 miles, so anyone putting in some serious mileage in their car can expect a much shorter duration from that particular offer.

So on to the free insurance offer, since that's why we're all here. It is open to all residents of England, Scotland and Wales only, and applies only to new Polos registered with Volkswagen on or before the 30th of June this year. You must be at least 21 years of age, and under 80, as well as being the first registered owner of the vehicle you wish to insure.

To be eligible, you must have held a full UK or EU driving license for a minimum of 1 year, and been resident in the applicable countries for at least two years.

If you qualify for this new car free insurance scheme for 2011, you'll be entitled to comprehensive insurance with an excess of just £250 for any accidental damage, theft or fire claims. The excess may rise if you are deemed to be an inexperienced driver, and the coverage does not permit you to drive other vehicles.
