Npower Boiler Cover and Central Heating Insurance
Npower boiler cover insurance doesn't just cover the boiler and a few controls. There are a variety of plans available, ranging from simple single boiler insurance to gas insurance to protect landlords. Hometeam Central Heating Care
This boiler cover is available to existing customers and non-customers, but existing customers who join and don't make a call-out in 12 months are entitled to 50% cash-back. The scheme covers boiler controls, radiators, call-outs and labour costs associated with fixing the boiler and a 30-point safety check for your appliances. If you boiler is less than 7 years old and Npower boiler cover can't fix it after repairs they'll even replace your boiler for you. For new customers the plan costs £12 per month plus £50 for every repair required; existing Npower customers pay £15 per month with no cost for repairs.
Hometeam Boiler Care
This service really just covers your boiler and all controls, not the entire heating system as with the above plan. Existing customers pay £12 per month for expert care and advice with no repair charge should the boiler need fixing, whilst non-customers pay £10.50 per month and an additional £50 flat fee per repair. Both customer and non-customers receive annual safety checks worth up to £75 per year.
Landlord Gas Central Heating Insurance
For just £25.04 per month, landlords can insurance their heating system against unlimited repairs and breakdown costs; Npower boiler cover will cover the cost of labour, spare parts, VAT and gas safety checks. More importantly, the service is available 24 hours a day all year round, and includes Gas Safe registered engineers to help make a home meet safety regulations for renting.
Electrical Heating Breakdown Cover
Npower boiler cover also includes an electrical heating cover, one of the few providers that does offer this service alongside their gas central heating policies. The service costs £4.45 per month and covers you up to £500 per year for labour costs, spare parts and VAT, as well as £200 towards heating panels/appliances should they be unable to fix the electrical heating system. If you're left with no heating for 24 hours, Npower will even pay up to £100 of hotel fees for you or your family.
