Worst corporate logos ever

What is a corporate logo supposed to tell us about a brand? Well, it’s supposed to show us some of the firm’s values and represent the firm. Think of Coca-Cola’s logo which is little more than a hand-written italic version of the name. It conjures up an image of tradition with a personal touch. Disney’s logo does very much the same thing for the same reason. We’re not so sure what the following logos are meant to represent.

Some say that the London 2012 logo reminds them of a Nazi swastika. We’re not sure we’d go that far but it’s truly a mess, isn’t it?

Perhaps when the Catholic Church's Archdiocesan Youth Commission had this logo produced for them in the 1970s the public were a little aware of the world we live in today. The white silhouette’s position looks decidedly dodgy to us.

This one for The Institute of Oriental Studies at the University of Santa Catarina is supposed to be a pagoda in front of the rising sun. That makes sense right? But the butt-head who drew it clearly didn’t get a second opinion before sending it out or else someone would have told him what it really looks like.

A-Style’s logo created quite a buzz when it was launched. The firm intentionally created this “dirty” but really buzz worthy design to draw attention.
