Living all, or part of, the year in the sun has long been a burning ambition of many Brits. With fond memories of holidays in Spain, it’s no surprise that a high proportion of retirees also want to head to its sunny shores.
Those on the quest for their dream villa in Spain have so many areas to choose from – the popular holiday spot of Costa Blanca, golf haven of the Costa del Sol, the vibrant Canary and Balearic Islands and the still largely residential Costa Tropical in the south.
One of the simplest ways to get involved with Spanish Property Development is to search online. Here are two excellent Spanish property websites that we came across.
- Kyero.com – This user-friendly website advertises more than 100,000 Spanish properties from 1,500 estate agents. As well as being able to do a full, detailed search by selecting locations, property types and maximum price from a dropdown menu, there are shortcut links which take you straight to plots of land, town houses, country houses, villas and apartments. The website is currently advertising country homes from around €50,000. By registering for a free account you can save your searches and receive email alerts of new properties.
- YourKeytoSpain.co.uk – One of the really useful features on this website is the range of practical advice offered in addition to being able to search for different types and prices of property. A location guide gives a thorough description of each area, while the buying guide is a must-read for anyone who wants to buy a home abroad. It covers the main issues to consider before you buy, during your purchase and post-completion, including legal processes. The website also has an ‘ask the experts’ section, with advice from lawyers, accountants and property professionals.
